Downtown art plan named award finalist

An initiative by Elgin’s Main Street Program to bring out the downtown district’s creative side is a finalist for an award from the Texas Downtown Association this year. The program, called the Downtown Public Art Plan, was an 18-month effort by the Elgin Main Street Program Design Committee to research information, gather feedback from residents and construct a plan to bring more public art to downtown Elgin.
