Capital Area Rural Transportation System (CARTS) held a ribbon cutting on January 21 to celebrate the completion of their remodel of the Bastrop station and the launch of CARTS Now, a new service in Bastrop. The service was first launched on January 11. CARTS Now is a low-cost, on-demand ride service that will allow the citizens of Bastrop to get from point A to point B on their own time. CARTS Now has no predetermined routes or schedules, and rides are available within 15 minutes of scheduling. This service will provide curb-to-curb transportation between any two points within the City of Bastrop,
