During their recent regular meeting on January 27, the Bastrop County Commissioners Court approved the possible installation of a basketball court at Stony Point Park, depending on available funding. In November, volunteers from Stony Point, a rural community on the far west side of the county, came together to assemble a playground at the park in one day. The playground-building event was hosted by KaBOOM!, local nonprofit Bastrop County Cares, the St. David’s Foundation and Bastrop County.
