(Austin, TX) – Today, Seton publicly celebrated a historic milestone and unveiled signage that includes the integration of the Ascension name, now officially known as Ascension Seton. This unifies Ascension Seton hospitals, clinics and senior living communities across Texas and across the country to Ascension’s 2,500 sites of care in 21 states and Washington, D.C.

“Seton has been a part of Ascension for nearly 20 years, and by creating more consistent names for our facilities across Texas, we make it clearer and easier for patients to find the care they need and navigate their health,” said Craig Cordola, president and CEO of Ascension Texas. “Our brand is more than changing our signs and changing our name – it is an outward symbol of our Mission to care for all persons, especially the poor and vulnerable.”

Ascension Seton, formerly known as Seton Healthcare family, has served Austin and the surrounding communities in Central Texas for more than 115 years. Ascension Seton operates more than 100 clinical locations, including four teaching hospitals, and employs more than 13,000 individuals. Over the past decade, Ascension Seton has provided more than $3.5 billion in charity care, as reported to the State of Texas.

“Ascension Seton continues to evolve to meet the changing healthcare needs of the individuals we are privileged to serve, including expanding services, creating new programs, and building additional sites of care,” said Cordola. “Uniting together under the Ascension brand allows our physicians, caregivers and associates more opportunities for collaboration across our state and national network to bring the best ideas and practices to our local communities, providing a greater benefit to our patients.”

The exterior signage has begun to change at Ascension Seton sites of care to reflect the new brand identity. The new brand identity will roll out in a phased approach at other Ascension Seton sites over the next year.
