‘Pinky Promise’ program promotes breast cancer screenings

A new initiative is providing free breast cancer screenings for Bastrop County women who need them, as well as encouraging women to “pinky promise” to get a screening. The Pinky Promise initiative is a collaboration between the Dell Medical School, Bastrop County Cares and the Austin Area Research Organization.
