State issues reopening plan; county performs random tests

A statewide order changed Bastrop County’s enforcement of face mask requirements, the county began random voluntary testing of residents, and Bastrop County reached 62 cases of COVID-19 this week. On Monday afternoon, Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced the first phase of a plan to strategically reopen Texas while taking precautions against the COVID-19 coronavirus, beginning on May 1.
