Presumptive COVID-19 case found in Elgin; county totals six cases

Five more presumptive positive cases of COVID-19, the illness caused by the novel coronavirus, have been detected in Bastrop County since last week. One of those cases was found in Elgin. The first case was announced on Saturday, March 21; the patient was described as a 37-year-old man and a resident of Bastrop County.
