Elgin ISD modifies grading guidelines

In response to the new challenges presented by school closures and remote instruction, Elgin ISD is modifying its grading guidelines for the rest of the school year, according to a letter last week to parents from Elgin ISD Superintendent Jodi Duron. Elementary schools will remain on a nine-week grading cycle, while secondary schools will remain on a six-week grading cycle with a modified timeline. All assignments have a two-week timeframe to complete and turn in to the school.
