In response to the new challenges presented by school closures and remote instruction, Elgin ISD is modifying its grading guidelines for the rest of the school year, according to a letter last week to parents from Elgin ISD Superintendent Jodi Duron.
Elementary schools will remain on a nine-week grading cycle, while secondary schools will remain on a six-week grading cycle with a modified timeline. All assignments have a two-week timeframe to complete and turn in to the school.
