Elgin schools will remain closed through the end of the school year, according to a letter addressed to parents on Thursday. “While Elgin facilities remain closed, we are seeing first hand that our schools are so much more than the brick and mortar where classes take place,” the letter from Superintendent Jodi Duron said. “Schools are about the people—specifically, our students, families, staff and extended community.
