Four more deaths in the Elgin area last week have been attributed to COVID-19. On Monday evening, Bastrop County’s COVID-19 dashboard showed an additional three deaths, and the fourth death was added on Wednesday, bringing the county’s total fatalities to 12. According to the Bastrop County Office of Emergency Management’s weekly COVID-19 update posted on Friday, these four deaths were two men in their 80s and two women in their 60s, all from the Elgin area.
