Office of Emergency Management deputy director Christine Files gave an update on the county’s activities regarding the COVID-19 pandemic to the Bastrop County Commissioners Court on Monday, April 13. Last week’s regular meeting fell on the 29th day since the disaster declaration in Bastrop County on March 16. On that day, the emergency operations center, which includes representatives from the county and the cities of Elgin, Bastrop and Smithville, was formed.
