The Bastrop County Health Department has confirmed today eight (8) new COVID-19 positive- test cases over the past two days, bringing the revised total of all such cases in Bastrop County to twenty-six (26). Seven (7) of these eight new cases are residents of the City of Elgin - or the immediate Elgin area. Of the Bastrop County total, 12 of the 26 cases are from the Elgin community.
