Census continues during COVID-19

After the disruptive COVID-19 pandemic coincided with the United States’ ten-year census count, Bastrop County is working to modify their outreach strategy. Bastrop County’s complete county committee had originally planned to hold in-person outreach events on and around April 1, which was Census Day. These in-person outreach events would give an opportunity for people to fill out the census or ask questions about the census.
