As of Monday evening, Bastrop County has confirmed 173 positive cases of COVID-19, according to the county’s dashboard.
The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) reports that 53 people have recovered from the illness in Bastrop County; two people have died.
On Monday, May 18, the county’s total number of cases was 132, with 51 recoveries.
According to data from DSHS, 51 percent, or 88, of the cases are in males, and 49 percent of the cases, or 83, are in females. One case is a person nine years old or younger, 11 cases are people between 10 and 19 years old,
