Relay for Life returns after pandemic hiatus

After a two-year break due to the pandemic, Elgin’s annual in-person Relay for Life event returned on Saturday at Elgin City Hall. The evening featured live music, activities, fundraisers and ceremonies celebrating the fight against cancer such as the triumphant survivor and caregiver lap and a moving luminaria ceremony.Currently, the Elgin Depot Museum is showing a Relay for Life exhibit.
