As the snow began to melt and Texas began recovering from a devastating winter storm, a Paige family was dealing with the aftermath of a destructive fire, as well.
During the unusually bitterly cold weather in mid-February, Chelsea Rivers-Stein’s family worked around the clock to make sure their animals were safe and warm in their barn at their Paige ranch. Rivers-Stein said they corralled all of their livestock into one pen, and they checked on the animals every three hours.
