New auto repair shop opens in Elgin

Friendly’s Auto Repair, located at 1130 Dildy Drive in the Elgin Business Park, celebrated their grand opening and open house on Monday, March 9 with a ribbon-cutting by the Elgin Chamber of Commerce. Chamber members look on as Krystal Strack cuts the ribbon, along with her husband Eddie, Mike Strack and his wife Penny. Center left is Curt Christenson, mechanic. Friendly’s Auto Repair is a full-service automotive shop specializing in 1996 and newer Asian and domestic vehicles. They offer state-of-theart repair with full access to the latest tech information and service bulletins. Their services include electrical, computer diagnostics, mechanical and general maintenance as well as air conditioning and heating repairs. They proudly staff ASE-certified mechanics and master technicians.
