John Daniel “JD” Buie, of McDade, Texas, a 2012 graduate of Elgin High School, was conferred the degree of Doctor of Medicine from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center during the School of Medicine virtual commencement ceremony held on May 22, 2020. While at TTUHSC, Buie completed a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Health Organizations Management, and served as a Dean’s Ambassador.
