Pet owners and advocates braved the weather on Saturday afternoon to celebrate Mardi Gras and raise funds for Save An Angel’s pet welfare mission.Save An Angel is a non-profit animal welfare organization fighting to end pet homelessness and increase pet retention. The Mardi Gras Pawty, which took place at Community Gardens near Bastrop, gives a nod to Save An Angel’s origin in New Orleans, featuring a Cajun crawfish boil by NOLA Kitchen and authentic New Orleans king cake.
