Local bishop uncovers hidden ancestral gems

George Sampleton, a bishop at Inspirational Pentecostal Church in Bastrop, recently took a deep-dive through his family lineage and made several shocking discoveries.After extensive research trying to pinpoint the origin of his family, Sampleton realized he’s related to multiple historical figures.His great uncle, Thomas Henry Stribling III, was the third cousin of former president James Monroe as well as founding father James Madison.
