Thursday evening marked the Elgin Swedish Association’s 75th annual Midsummer and Reunion. The annual gathering starts with social time and a dinner, as well as the traditional dance around the maypole. This year’s featured speaker was Dennis Swanberg, a Swedish humorist, who had the entire SPJST Hall laughing and chuckling at his stories and funny observations about life and culture both Swedish and American.
