Freedom colonies exhibit returns to Depot Museum

The powerful exhibit about the colonies that newly-freed slaves in 1869 settled in Bastrop County comes again to the Elgin Depot Museum on January 22, noon to 4 p.m.The exhibit is on loan from the Bastrop County Historical Society in Bastrop. It visited Elgin previously in 2019.
