Volunteers from the Smithville Knights of Columbus, VFW Post 1309, Bastrop County Honor Guard, STX Golf Cart Club and more volunteers from the community gathered at Oak Hill Cemetery on Saturday morning, May 8 to replace the flags at the graves of fallen veterans. The event was kicked off by VFW Post Quartermaster Mark Bunte, retired Sergeant First Class Stephen Bathelme and the Bastrop County Honor Guard.
