Sammey Smith, novelist and a 1948 graduate of Elgin High School, has just released his latest detective mystery novel, The Head Hunters.
The book follows the story of a trio of three former U.S. Army commandos who had obtained vital information behind enemy lines during the Vietnam War. Several years after the war, the North Vietnamese Secret Service is hot on the trail of these former U.S. Army commandos, who they claim caused them to lose the war with South Vietnam. The commandos’ identities are revealed when national media covered the presentation of Medals of Honor to the three heroes by the President.
The Head Hunters is Smith's sixth novel in the Dick Cinder series and can be purchased online at www.amazon.com/author/sammeysmitheadHHe .
