Elgin yoga studio, Body + Shine Wellness, 28 N. Main St., will be expanding to Bastrop with a new location in early August. Owner, Katy Gassaway, opened the studio in 2017 with the intent of cultivating an inclusive and communal atmosphere. “A lot of times yoga can be intimidating for people,” Gassaway said. “I want it to be friendly and approachable.” With the exception of a tough stretch because of Covid, Katy’s vision has ultimately come to fruition.
