Local hot sauce chefs brought their best recipes to compete at Saturday’s Hot Sauce Hootenanny at Simple Promise Farms, a substance abuse recovery nonprofit that offers therapeutic farming. The event and its proceeds support substance abuse recovery and the work of Simple Promise Farms. In addition to the hot sauce tasting and competition, attendees enjoyed live music, a silent auction and a petting zoo with some of the farm’s animals.
