The start of this school year is different from any we’ve ever faced before, but that doesn’t hinder the excitement of Back to School or the heart-felt welcome extended to the new staff joining Elgin ISD for the 2020-2021 school year.

The district is delighted to welcome this talented and dedicated group of teachers from across the state, out of state, and even fresh from a teaching assignment in Turkey! In addition, we are welcoming back several former Elgin ISD employees and are especially delighted to have three

“Grow Your Own” teachers who have earned their teaching credentials while also working for the district in paraprofessional roles. Each new hire brings in their teacher toolkit not only their educational background, but also a wealth of experience. The common theme throughout every interview is that these teachers are committed to making a difference and that they want to do so in Elgin ISD.

Please join us in welcoming the teachers featured here—and following safety protocols— to not only the district, but the community. Together we are: One Town. One Team. One Family.
