On Thursday, Elgin ISD held its annual Back-to-School Bash and Convocation, which marks the beginning of the year for Elgin teachers and staff. The event opened with the Elgin High School band playing as the Elgin High cheer team performed. After this, a few juniors and seniors from the band, cheer, dance and football programs kicked off the event with a few opening remarks on behalf of students.
