“Life's most persistent and urgent question is, what are you doing for others?” — Martin Luther King, Jr.

Join us for Down Home Ranch's Weekend of Service in honor of the MLK holiday! January 18, 2021, is the 26th anniversary of the day of service that celebrates the civil rights leader’s life and legacy. Observed each year on the third Monday in January as “a day on, not a day off,” MLK Day is a federal holiday designated to encourage all Americans to volunteer and improve their communities.

From Friday, January 15 to Monday, January 18, we need 20 volunteers each day to help plant thousands of spring color plants, as well as assist in greenhouse cleanup.

AM and PM shifts are available on Friday, Saturday and Monday, with only PM shifts on Sunday.

If you are ready to help empower the lives of people with disabilities while getting your hands dirty, please contact volunteers@downhomeranch.org.

We have developed protocols to make this process safe, including spacing out volunteer stations, requiring masks, sanitizing carts between groups and requiring volunteers who work in groups to be from the same family or household unit.
