After a beloved Elgin High School coach was diagnosed with cancer, the Elgin community has rallied to support him and his family throughout the ups and downs of the journey.In May, Matthew Foehner was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome, a type of cancer in which blood cells in the bone marrow do not become healthy blood cells and can progress to leukemia.
