A local business celebrated not only its two-year anniversary, but the recent winning of a state pitch competition. Chemn Cafe has served coffee and more in downtown Elgin for the past two years. On Sunday, the coffee shop celebrated its two-year birthday with decorations and snacks. Additionally, Chemn Cafe owner Monica Nava recently won the Central Texas Women-Owned Small Business Pitch Competition by the Texas Governor's Commission for Women.
