Young Elginites spent time outdoors for Spring Break with activities hosted by the Elgin Parks & Recreation Department throughout the week of March 14. On Monday of Spring Break, visitors to Elgin Memorial Park could create nature-related crafts while learning about local flora and fauna. Tuesday’s catch-and-release fishing taught attendees how to catch and release fish safely at Morris Memorial Pond.
