On Saturday, Bastrop Charter Advocate Network (CAN) hosted the Bastrop School Fair to exhibit the various schools to choose from in the area. The lobby of the Film Alley movie theater in Bastrop was filled with booths from area schools, as well as organizations such as the Bastrop Public Library. The Bastrop Noon Lions Club was also in attendance to provide vision screenings for children, while the Honor Choir held a yard sale and bake sale to fundraise for themselves and the Children's Advocacy Center.
