Bastropians walk to remember MLK’s legacy

This year, Bastrop hosted the 33rd annual Walk for Peace, Justice and Equality, a part of Bastrop County’s annual MLK Day celebration on Monday, January 10. Participants from all over Bastrop County met at Paul Quinn African Methodist Episcopal Church at 10 a.m. to start the walk. From there, they marched to the Kerr Community Center, Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church and Emile Elementary School, ending at Macedonia First Baptist Church.
