Bastrop summer concert series ends with a bang

The last show of Bastrop’s Sizzlin’ Summer Nights concert series took place on Saturday night at Community Gardens, 1067 State Hwy. 71.The artist lineup was loaded with country music superstars, including Aaron LaCombe, Brody Caster, and Allie Colleen. Local talent, Wyatt Ellis Band, also graced the stage with originals and covers of classic songs like Dobie Gray’s “Drift Away” and Midland’s “Drinking Problem.” Rising star and singing extraordinaire, Pennie Painter, kicked off the show with a stellar performance of the star-spangled banner, which was followed by a couple original tunes by Bastrop residents, Winter Dawn and Gary Blake.  Headlining act,
