Over the past two weekends, Bastrop County Animal Services (BCAS) has offered adoption specials in order to alleviate their over-capacity shelter and help clear out the kennels. As of May 27, the shelter was beyond capacity with 370 animals. BCAS decided to offer a weekend-long special for adopting dogs, called “Klear the Kennels”: adult dogs could be adopted for $25, and puppies and small dogs could be adopted for $50.
