The Austin Community College Elgin Campus, with American Legion Post 295 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6115, hosted a celebration of local veterans on Veterans' Day. Eduardo Hidrogo, a local veteran who has served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam, who ACC administrator and ACC Elgin Veterans Committee member Henry Leal described as "coming with a bit of American history," was the first speaker.
