The Elgin Main Street Board established a COVID-19 Emergency Marketing Grant and announced awards to thirteen local businesses on May 6.

The Main Street Program is providing the grant to support businesses as they retool and offer their products and services in new and different ways during these challenging COVID-19 times. Many businesses started online marketplaces, curbside to-go and delivery programs in order to reach their customers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

While many business operations are now allowed to open under Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s executive orders, many businesses are continuing to offer online access and new services. This continues to be a very challenging time for small businesses.

The Main Street program hopes that everyone will check with a local business first to see what their operating hours are, what services they are providing and what’s new as we all continue to deal with the ever-changing COVID-19 landscape.

The following businesses received COVID-19 Marketing Grants from the Elgin Main Street program. Businesses in the downtown area can apply for the COVID-19 marketing grant monthly.
