At these parades, teachers stood on the sidewalk in front of their schools as the families of their students drove by, giving the teachers and students a chance to say goodbye and celebrate the end of the school year. Elgin Elementary School held their reverse parade on Thursday afternoon, while Neidig Elementary School held theirs on Thursday evening. Booker T. Washington Elementary School held a series of reverse parades throughout the past couple of weeks celebrating each grade level.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this art show, which is open to students and young artists from Elgin, McDade and Coupland, is being hosted online at the Elgin Arts Association website, www.elginartsassociation.com. The website has links to six different online galleries, sorted by school and grade groups, and viewers can either see a catalog of all of the art pieces or navigate an interactive virtual gallery where each art piece is displayed.
