Wildcats drop pair of games

A 22-point fourth quarter lifted Cedar Park over the Wildcats Friday night, 62-45. 

Elgin kept the game close in the first half, outscoring the Timberwolves 16-13 in the second quarter for a five-point deficit at the break. Cedar Park came out in the second half and held the Wildcats to 8 points in the third quarter to build on its lead. 

The Rouse Raiders left Elgin with the 60-32 win on Jan. 9. 

Elgin took the 11-9 lead after the first quarter. 

Rouse hit a shooting streak in the second quarter, gunning out to a 24-15 lead, before the Wildcats worked back and cut the lead down to four points at the half. 

In the second half, the Wildcats went cold, getting only 10 points in two quarters. 

Elgin will host Georgetown Friday and travel to Connally Tuesday.
