Saluting their Sacrifice: Memorial Day flag planting

Scouts went through four Elgin cemeteries, planting flags on the graves of veterans ahead of the upcoming Memorial Day holiday. This is a service Project of Elgin McDade Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts from Troops 472, 181 and 182. Elgin VFW Post 6115 will have a Memorial Day service at the VFW Post, 118 Old Sayers Road off Hwy. 95 South. Breakfast is at 7:30 a.m. Services begin at approximately 8:30 a.m.
