THEATER: DROWSY CHAPERONE THE MUSICAL BASTROP — The Drowsy Chaperone is a loving send-up of the Golden Age musical, featuring oneshow-stopping song and dance number after another at the historic Bastrop Opera House, 711 Spring St. in Bastrop. With the houselights down, a man in a chair appears on stage and puts on his favorite record:thecastrecording of a fictitious 1928 musical.
